Bambu experimented with cork as a cutting surface for nearly a year before bringing it to market. Bambu can source cork from the north of China were the trees, and its bark is thinner.
Some background on our cork: It is sustainably harvested without harming the tree in northern China. The outer bark quickly regenerates, and the tree continues to flourish, generally improving the tree’s health and vitality over its lifespan. High-density compression is used to make our cork boards extra tough. Once people try cutting on cork, they are often pleasantly surprised.
