Caloric restriction healthy breakfast (approximately 400 calories):
- ½ cup oat bran (or whole rolled, non-quick cook oat meal)
- ½ cup vanilla rice milk (almond milk, soy milk, or cow's milk)
- ½ cup water
- 1/4 tsp ground Cinnamon
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup of strawberries/blueberries (optional)
Add all ingredients to a pot. Bring to boil under med- high heat. Immediately reduce heat to low- med, and let simmer 7-12 minutes (or until desired consistency). Stir constantly.
